A Visit to the Cleveland Museum of Art

I’ll admit it — we totally underestimated the Cleveland Museum of Art. We figured we’d pop in for a couple of hours, check out a few paintings, and grab lunch somewhere nearby. But wow, this place just kept going…and going…and going.

The museum is huge — not just in size, but in the range of art they’ve packed into it. One minute we were standing in front of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the next we were squinting (in awe) at massive modern canvases bursting with color. Every room felt like turning a new page in some massive art story.

And the best part? It didn’t feel overwhelming. The building itself is open and airy, full of natural light and quiet corners where you can pause and just take in what you’ve seen. We wandered through the galleries for hours, constantly surprised by how much there was to see — and how beautifully everything flowed together.

By the end of the day, we were blissfully tired, full of art and inspiration. Cleveland really impressed us with this one — it’s definitely one of those places that deserves way more hype. A “quick visit” turned into an entire day, and honestly, we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
